Our Evaluation Process

An elevated, personalized approach to care

The Evaluation Experience

Initial Consultation

The evaluation process begins with an initial consultation, where parents and caregivers meet with a therapist to discuss their child’s unique strengths, challenges, and developmental history.

During this session, the therapist gathers information about your child’s daily routines, medical background, and any concerns you may have. This step helps determine which therapy services—whether ABA, speech, occupational, or physical therapy—are most appropriate and sets the stage for a tailored, goal-focused evaluation.

Intake & Scheduling

Once the initial consultation is complete, our team guides you through the intake process, collecting important information such as medical history, therapy goals, and any relevant documentation. During this step, we also schedule your child’s evaluation and future therapy sessions at times that work best for your family.

Our goal is to make the process smooth and stress-free so your child can start receiving the support they need as quickly as possible.

In-Depth Evaluation

During the comprehensive evaluation, your child meets with a licensed therapist for an in-depth assessment of their skills and needs. Depending on the services recommended, this may include speech, occupational, physical, or ABA therapy assessments.

The therapist observes your child, conducts structured activities, and may use standardized tests to evaluate areas such as communication, motor skills, social interactions, behavior, and daily living abilities. This step helps identify strengths, challenges, and specific goals to guide an individualized therapy plan.

Clinical Review

After the comprehensive evaluation, the therapist reviews the results with you and outlines their findings. Together, you’ll discuss your child’s strengths, areas for growth, and recommended therapy services. The therapist then develops an individualized, goal-focused plan tailored to your child’s needs, outlining specific objectives, strategies, and a timeline for progress.

This collaborative step ensures that parents are fully informed and involved in setting meaningful, achievable goals for their child’s therapy journey.

Personalized Plan

Based on the evaluation and goal-setting discussion, a personalized therapy plan is created for your child. This plan outlines the recommended services—such as ABA, speech, occupational, or physical therapy—along with specific goals, strategies, and session schedules.

Each plan is tailored to your child’s strengths and needs, ensuring therapy is effective, engaging, and aligned with your family’s priorities. Progress is tracked regularly, and the plan is adjusted as your child grows and achieves new milestones.

Parent Collaboration

We believe parents and caregivers play a vital role in every child’s therapy journey. Our team works closely with families to provide ongoing guidance, clear updates, and practical strategies that can be applied at home, at school, and in everyday routines.

By involving parents in goal-setting, progress tracking, and skill reinforcement, we ensure that therapy extends beyond the clinic. This partnership helps children practice and generalize their skills, encourages consistency, and empowers families to actively support their child’s growth and success.
